About Intervarsity Christian Fellowship
What is InterVarsity Christian Fellowship? IVCF at UNO is a chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (USA). InterVarsity is a nation-wide, inter-denominational college campus ministry. Nationally, we work with 35,000 students and faculty at 550 colleges and universities. With roots in 1870's British universities, InterVarsity first came to the U.S. in 1938. We have had a chapter at the University since the lates 1960's. We also have a chapter at Tulane. For more info on InterVarsity, please go to www.ivcf.org .
InterVarsity's purpose is to
establish and advance witnessing communities that grow in love for
God, God's Word, God's people of every race and ethnicity, and God's
purposes for the world.
We work this out on campus in these ways:
1) Prayer
2) Evangelism
3) Small Group Bible Study
4) Student Leadership.
