The Qur'an mentions the names of 25 prophets and indicates that there were many more that were not mentioned to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (PBUH) are the five greatest among God's messengers, and are called 'the resolute' prophets.


Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was 40 years old when the Qur'an began to be revealed to him, and he was 63 when the revelation was completed.
