Categories and criteria for membership are as follows:
U.S. students who have demonstrated high scholastic achievement
(3.5 for graduate students and 3.0 for undergraduate students with
junior or senior standing) who have been actively involved in promoting
international understanding at the University or in other settings,
and who have either studied or conducted research abroad or have
had a comparable international experience where academic relevance
can be demonstrated;
International students who have demonstrated high scholastic achievement
(3.5 for graduate students and 3.0 for undergraduate students with
junior or senior standing) and who have been actively involved in
promoting international understanding at the University or in other
settings;
Distinguished faculty, staff and alumni who have been involved
in recognized international endeavors such as teaching, conducting
research, participating in overseas projects, administering exchange
programs, or providing services to international students and scholars.
Membership will provide an opportunity to:
* Receive recognition for your contributions to international education
* Be part of a UNO network of faculty, staff and students interested
in international research, education and other scholarly endeavors
* Be part of a worldwide network of individuals and institutions
committing to promoting international research, education and other
scholarly endeavors
* Publish scholarly research in the International Review, Phi Beta
Deltas multi-disciplinary journal
* Attend annual and regional meetings where international research
and ideas are exchanged
