ABOUT THE COLLEGE REPUBLICANS
|
The
College Republicans at the University of New Orleans were one of the
first organizations founded at the University after being Louisiana
State University at New Orleans. Towards the end of the late 1990's the
College Republicans faced hard difficulties due to the changing
political tides in the city and on campus and soon ceased to exist.
Since then, many attempts have been made to re-create the organization
but all falled short. In the spring of 2006, a new effort was started,
and the re-founding of the group began. The organization at UNO was
quickly recognized by the Louisiana Federation of College Republicans
but it was not until February 6, 2007 that the organization was
officially recognized by the University of New Orleans. |
- The College Republicans are the premier conservative voice at the University and in the Lakeview community.
- The CR's exist as the grassroots arm of the Republicans Party.
- The CR's are the ones wearing campaign shirts and campaigning for candidates on election day.
- The College Republicans are the future leaders of our Party.
